Stainless Damasteel Jaws
This beautiful ProJaw made from stainless maternistic Damasteel from Sweden (normally used for top end knives) will set you back US$300.00. Only 6 numbered jaws were made in October 2010. The jaws were hardened, polished and etched by renound knife maker De Wet van Zyl from Darkwing Blades ( vanzyl.dw@gmail.com ) Click here to see more.
Since then another 33 have been produced. I plan to limit production to 11 per year.
Lightweight foam Bases
May 2010 saw the development of the lightweight foam bases developed for air travel. There was an interesting spin off in that the foam can be cut to securely hold a host of tying gadgets as well.
Jiri Klima ties a Czech Nymph on Ed Herbst's Jvice while on a
recent trip to SA. Looking on are Giordano "Zamps" Zamparini
and Karel Krivanec. Ed says that Jiri was suitably impressed.
JVice Commissions new Quick-Tech XP4-42SM CNC Late with live tooling.
All components and accessories as well as the new standard jaw are
now manufactured in house.
The arrival of this new state of the art machine in April 2006 has
kept me on my toes and seriously impinged on my weekend fishing. But
it has been well worth the effort. All components are now manufactured
in my home workshop. This has enabled me to do a lot more R&D
resulting in the new accessories and improvements.
